i have a 1987 yamaha warrior starts out fine but seems to bog out mid-full range throttle also when i dont have the headluights on the reverse light its always on but when i turn on the headlights the nertul light comes on and the reverse goes off?

i'd look for that electrical problem to be part of your bog problem
i fixed a rappy700 one time with the reverse light staying on, and serious bog
turns out they have a known problem with the reverse switch/ rpm limiter connection
followed the details i found on rappyforum.com to eliminate that limiter circut, works like a champ, and will now go full speed in reverse

The warrior will start first pull, pull very hard down low to mid then stumble a little in mid then pull again on the top end

Seems strange that it would have a midrange bog. Warriors have issues with the park brake switch & nonsense like that but typically they act as if they're hitting a rev limiter & won't rev out at all. Also check the boot from the carb to the head for any tears.
