Blaster will haul first three gears. 4th it'll run but bogs them 5th just bogs. I had changed the main jets a few times with no luck and had another guy helping me but he couldn't figure it out. Finally took it to a shop and they said my compression was all over the place and that's causing the issue but I don't see how that affects high gear.. my blaster has no airbox someone cut the airbox out of the rear plastic completely. It has a full toomey b1 exhaust. V force 3 reeds. That shop it was at did replace my carb with another one which seemed to improve it some. I just can't seem to figure out what is wrong with it... any help would be greatly appreciated.

what did they say the compression reading was?
they replaced the whole carb or parts in carb, what size main jet is in it?

They just told me it was all over the place and that my engine was the problem... the carb that was on it was actually a banshee carb. Which I didn't know... I had 2 other carbs and the other I believe was either another banshee carb or a stock blaster. At the moment I'm not sure on jet size.. at one time I was down to a 150 or smaller it started w a 250 in it when I first started changing the main jets.

Have them tell you exactly what compression actually was .

If you buy the full toomey b1 exhaust
it comes with a 310 main jet tells you to turn
airscrew to 3/4 of a turn. Airbox vents instructions ect.
of course other mods/temps/ elavation affect the jetting.
i dont like the no airbox thing happening sucks they cut it out.

compression should be at 120psi on a healthy top end or even more.
i have never heard the expression of all over the place

need to find out what main jet is in it or it will be over for that engine)
and you can buy a 30 dollar comp gauge at a autoparts store and check it yourself/maybe they rent them free?
or ask shop what the reading was in PSI.
got any pics of your carb setup or quad to post?
free manual......

250 main is way too small for a Toomey exhaust and no air box . Start with a 330 and plug chop from there
Alright I'll try that. It was running rich which is why I went down on the jets. I'll do that this weekend

I bought it with the toomey exhaust on it. The no airbox sucks. And I don't really want to pay 200 for one of those aluminum ones. I have a gauge to check the compression. I really think they just wanted more money from me but who knows. I'll have to get a pic tomorrow of the quad and the carb setup.

great well check it and get back to us on the reading
make sure you hold throttle wide open and kick it till it stops rising in psi
and cant wait on the pic:)
are you premixing if so what ratio/ or oil injection?
ngk b8es or br8es spark plug
does it even have a airfilter on it?
free flowing gas from tank to carb.

Will do. Premix. Honestly I couldn't tell you on the mixture. I bought the oil from a local place and they told me a ratio and I just did that but it's been over 6 months since I've had to even fill it up. I don't have one a fancy spark plug. Lol. Gas is free flowing. Any recommendations on what mixture I should run with the mods I have? And yes it does have an air filter attatched directly to the carb.

32:1 is 4 ounces of oil per 1 gallon of gas.
thats what i mix at.
what does bottle on your 2 stroke oil say...name it?
should have the right plug i posted above.
they are only like 3 bucks

The main jet is currently a 220. I believe I have a 250. But that's as high as I have I'll have to order the 330 and above online
