Okay guys, I need to figure out the VIN on my blaster for registration.

I will seriously give a prize to the first person to get it to register on an online vin check. I need the link and vin you tried.

I took a ton of pictures moving the camera and lighting. I will be away from my blaster all weekend and need it by Sunday night, although tomorrow would be better

I SEE...............Y4AG62894CO18930

THE 2 O's,(LETTERS) OR ARE THEY ZEROS ?
LOOK DIFFERENT, THE FIRST ONE (11'TH DIGIT) IS MORE SQUARISH LOOKING,
MAYBE A "D" (DEE) ?
OR ARE O'S MORE SQUARE AND ZEROS ROUNDED ? OR VICE VERSA ?
THE REST LOOK PRETTY CLEAR
HERP.jpg

AND THOSE MAY BE CORRECT ?
BUT THIS VIN DECODER SAYS WE NEED 17 DIGITS, I ONLY SEE 16 ?
https://www.cyclepedia.com/motorcycle-vin-decoder/

IT ALSO SAYS THIS WHEN I PUT IN THE ORIGINAL 16#'s I POSTED......

The following manufacturers match the World Manufacturer Identifier associated with your VIN, however we do not list any model specific data at this time.

Manufacturer Name: Eton Ltd
Address: 16 Torgovay str Minsk Region
Zip / Country / Phone: 222210 Belarus
Product Type:

IS THIS ANOTHER # UNDER THERE ? POSSIBLE THE BEGINNING OF A 2 ?

i missed this............
The letters I, i, O, o, Q, and q are never to be used so as to avoid confusion with numerals 1 and 0.

so all 0's are zeros, not letters

I ran this Y4AG62894C018930 with all zeros and all 10 digits as an ending 17th digit, same results.....
you've got an ETON ATV :)

I played with the pics i could give you my guess but? not fo sure:)
perhaps call a dealer they could type it in there computer i think...your closest guesses lol

this is one of my guesses:D THE 6TH AND 8TH DIGIT ARE THE HARDEST TO DETERMINE FOR ME

THE ONE PIC.................... JY4AG52894C018930
J AT THE BEGINNING AND A 5 AS 6TH DIGIT, THAT PUTS A 4 AS THE 10TH DIGIT
AND PER SPEEDY'S CHART IS A 2004 MODEL ?????

THIS - JY4AG52894C018930 @
http://www.cyclepedia.com/manuals/CPP-VIN/index.php
SHOWS THIS.........

Manufacturer Name: Yamaha Motor Co Ltd
Address: Quality Automotive Operations
Zip / Country / Phone: 438 Japan
Product Type: 4 Wheeler (Off Road)

Sorry Awk. You don't win. The 9th digit is a check digit. For any of you that don't know what a check digit is, it's a number that is derived from entering all the digits into a mathematical equation. The same procedure is used for credit card numbers. This way you can't just change 1 number and have a valid credit card number. Here is a site that calculates the check digit for vin numbers.

http://www.alton-moore.net/vin_calculation.html

Here's what I come up with that passes the check digit calculation

ahhhh shucks :)
I had run that 0 in place of the 5, but that was before adding the J to the front :(

and bluesmans # does indeed come back as a blaster

another thing i notice is if you copy/paste the vin.....first 1 i posted and same one bluesman posted in your web browser it comes up as a blaster....
if you try another copy n paste of the one with a 5 as 6th digit it comes back as nothing lol:D
if you can get it to register it as the vin cool...but if it gets stolen or questioned it is going to be hard to identify...yah knowo_O

i deleted the last two options i posted cuz nuttin came back.
and changed the 0 letter to a zer0
and those are ZERO'S##..IN VIN....NOT O LETTER'S

it took 3 of us to figure it out soooo 1st second 3 place prizes lol:eek::D....joking

See I was thinking the first digit was another 0. Although I did try it as a j a couple times but I probably had some stuff wrong

I will take that vin to the dmv tomorrow and see what they say. If they say it's stolen and try to take it, bluesman wins a 3000 bill ;) jk.

Anyone find history on the vin? Stolen or previous owners

the ones i tried wanted you to pay like 9 bucks?
maybe call epa or police and say it is something you were looking into cuz you were going to buy it then run and hide if police show up:eek::eek::eek:
