transmission question

call me an idiot but what kind and where does the tranny oil go on a blaster

Look on the clutch side (Side that says Yamaha on the engine) just have where it says yamaha you'll see the little screw cap thing where the oil goes in. ... I always ran ATF (automatic transmission fluid) in my blasters.. purely because when I first asked about doing an oil changed that's what I was told to run by someone on here... NEVER had a problem! :) oh also if you're wandering.. They take 650ml :)

650ml no more, no less of any of the following.

10w30 engine oil with no friction modifiers.

Auto trans fluid type F.

An off the shelf transmission oil designed for motorcycles with wet clutches.

the screw to drain the oil is under the motor and i can not get the screw off to change it its been the same oil for over a year but the cap has oil on it and is stripped

the drain plug is the cap under the motor right and if it is i can not get it off

Yup, under the motor.

They are swines to get out, if the hex is in good condition put a six point socket on it and heave.

If the hex is damaged you may have to improvise and use a tool designed to remove damaged heads.

Filing parallel flats has been known to work.

Failing removal you may have to clean the cases and take the case off to drop the oil.
