time for a new piston

now, it's time you try and figure out what went wrong...just that time, lean jetting, airleak, ect, ect. so it doesnt happen again

i havent tore it down yet but i can push the kick starter down with my hand

but still do a leak test if ya have one to see uf thats what happened
and pics of carnage are a must !!!!!

so i tore it apart and discovered some water in the motor. is a new new piston and rings needed? what else?

WATER!!! Sooo, the piston is'nt hurt? Could you have sucked some water in while riding. If so, Water in a cylinder is very, very bad. It will hydraulic and bad things will happen.

yes water was sucked in while riding. i found when i pulled the head one of the studs was missing so probably leaking there

If you have studs missing, you need to take that to a machione shop and see if he can fix it. Do the right or if done wrong, you can be in the same place a week from now, go ahead and have him bore and hone it (buy piston and rings first)...
