Does anyone have a recommendation for the service limit on the shift fork pawl/pad thickness? Did a forum search, the Yamaha service manual doesn't say either.

You can see on the forks where the pad/pawl is. You will find very little wear if any on forks 2&3. However you will find wear on fork 1 quite often. It will be a very noticeable groove in the pad. I would just inspect them visually for any wear and go from there.i could measure some if you were having issues or concerns.
