Ive done it, just be really careful, you could get very hurt. It works well when your in a pinch. Its how alot of stretched tires are mounted rims that are way to wide.

I've done it a few times. When you're wheeling (jeeps and such) and you blow a bead, and you don't have that much air in your air tank.....starter fluid and a lighter. Works like a charm!! I usually like to drop a match down onto the tire, but whatever works!

thats how i usually do it, i just take out the pin in the valve stem so it doesnt suck it self in
