Rebuild Tips

[Jammies]

A few basic thing to do when doing a rebuild:

Blow out pipe with compressed air.
Blow out air hoses and gas lines with compressed air.
Order 3 or more piston circlips as they are very easy to lose.
Order 2 or more woodruff keys as they too are easy to lose.
Clean petcock.
Clean carb.
Check tire pressure.

Check your circlips several times!

You should block oil injection, get new air filter, spark plug, reeds, and rebuild kit for carb if needed

Make sure your head isnt warped, remove any carbon buildup from the combustion chamber, exhaust ports, reeds, and exhaust. Repack your silencer and last but definately not least ... USE FRESH GAS/OIL ! ! !
