Well even though it's 30 degrees out I just had to pull the blasty out of the garage and see how the Rad valve does compared to the Vforces 2 I had in there before. I got the front Hydro's on and bled, so out in the cold dark I went. I personally think it has much more snap. It just "sounds" better too. With the Vforces it seem to be more zingier, " Zing,Zing Zing a higher pitch. The Rad valve seems to have a grunt, throaty sound not such a high pitch too. I have to say I'm pleased with this purchase.
Now to get a decent day to check the main jet and get some riding in.
I am running a bit warm also, not sure why- I hit it with the temp guage and it was 248*. I'm running a B9 plug, so I went and put in a B8 and the temp increased (as it should) to 252* . This was all after a 15 minute zip around the block. anything over 200 is concerning to me especially when it 30* out. I'm sure when it gets 80+ that temp would be very bad.
I have been doing some research and i also want to get a new carb. I'd like to go 33 but may just get the airstriker 35. I know alot of guys say 35 is too large for stock jug but i have to differ,. Alot of guys are running a 34 I can't understand what one more size is going to hurt, sure i may loose some bottom but not that much, and the difference in price from a 33 to 35 is $30.
