How much would powder coating the bottem end cost. im picking red, look in my profile and look at my blaster and tell me if the red/or black would look good because the previous owner spray painted it NO GOOD its peeling and looks like sh*t. the cylinder was just painted black. and btw this is a full rebuild so when i get some progress i will post in the rebuild section.I:II:II:I sorry its the only pick i have of the blasty, together.thinking about doing the frame and other things to.

Its not a question if it will hold the heat, it definitely will but The question is why? Your not going to see it much and to tell you the truth I dont think it would look that good. Get some aircraft stripper, strip the paint off, get some sand paper and a dremel with a wire wheel and polish it up nice. It wont cost anywhere close to what the pc would cost and it would look way better.

i think it would be worth it, the bike looks sick all together with the sh*tty paint job. i could see how sweet it would look with powder coating. the frame is black right now with maier grey racing plastics with red shock covers, seat, and renthals. i would like to paint the frame red.

if your concerned with heat issues polishing is going to hold more heat as well just like powder coat.

ive talked to some metal specialist/polishers that wont even touch cases or covers on a air cooled motor

I dont see hows thats possible. Your not coating the cases with anything. Your not even applying anything but polish. Just a tiny bit of sanding then some polish. I think thats a bunch of b.s. The PC will hold the heat yes, but no polish unless your thinking chrome?
