Powder coated piston!

If it chips, would you want pieces of PC in ur engine? You would have to grind out where the rings go for them to fit, and it could easily start pealing by the rings

There are baked on coatings on High Performance Pistons , its a super slick type of coating that reduces friction and increases piston and bore life. I don't know that I've seen them for 2 strokes , but they may be available. PC goes on far thicker , and after heating your piston to to point where it will stick , plus the added thickness of the PC itself , your piston won't fit in the bore. Its pointless and shouldnt be done.

it's been done, but just for practice and show............

NICE! That would look sexxxy, perhaps fitted with some red rings, as a gearshift knob in my truck! I:I

But like others have said, apart from artistic uses for pistons, PC'ing is not going to do anything for your piston except ruin it.
