paint question

ok iv heard that you can add corn starch to gloss paint and it makes it flat i was wondering if this is fru or not iv got to paint my corn feeder and i just bought a can of black gloss that you spray out of a spray gun

Why would you want to make it flat, gloss stands up to the vigours of the weather better.

You probably can. You could prolly add dirt or ground up cheeri O's too.
What will happen is you will get weak paint.
Paint is cheap enough to not have to do stuff like that and who wants to have to take a chance on having to strip and re-paint.
Either buy satin paint or buy a satin additive.
Most all paints glossy naturally. Paint that is satin or semigloss just has a satin agent added in.
