I swapped out my clutch, greased the rods and ball bearing, adjusted like it should be while holding aligned with mark on the case. Then I put on a new motion pro clutch cable that I picked up. The cable was loose and I had to turn the adjuster on the perch just about half out to take up the slack. Is this normal, or did I do something wrong?

I have known new cables to be a little longer than expected.

If you get one you may be able to take the clutch actuator arm off and move it around a spline or two to take up the slack.

quality control can sometimes be lacking.
the next one you get may be tighter
what you have now won't hurt anything until you run out of adjustment.
run it !

yes its actually pretty normal! when i got a new clutch cable the clutch felt really soft instead of more pressurized like my old cable felt. It is completely normal and i loved how it felt.
