is there a replacement light bulb that would work better than the stock one? kinda like a HID or halogen bulb?

You can run up to a 55 watt bulb.
Hids need ac current to charge the ballastand a custom charging system and some wiring from the stator is required

i dont have an ebay account. my mom refuses to have one so is ther any stores that could have them?
You may be able to get a local part store order it for you. Not sure if they would be able to order that kind but worth a try.
