kx60 jetting question

i got a kx60 that i am fixing for a friend, it has a 190 main in it with a pro circuit pipe, it will fire up and go for about 200 feet then just start to sputter and die out. im thinking maybe its something to do with jetting?

sounds like it's running the fuel bowl dry.

you'll need to know what carb and size to find the float height setting, or google it for that specific year/model

it also leaks gas out of the overflow so could it still be running the float bowl dry?

If it is leaking gas from an overflow/breather, then an extra rich mix may be putting the fire in the jug out.

You are flooding.

Clean the needle and seat and set the float level, and check if the float is rubbing the inside of the bowl.

yea that sounds like float level too high or dirty/worn needle.

i had a kx60, sold it last year, the thing was a PITA to jet but once you get it right, they rip for a little bike like that. It popped wheelies with me on it.

too big of jet i think.... i have a 160 in my kx85 and that plug chopped correct, normally have a 140 in it but its cold here

all i have on it is reeds and aftermarket air filter
