/\ /\ /\ For a stock cylinder start at #280 and plug chop to correct if needed.

If you need a #360 to make it run, I would suspect an air leak, do a leak down test.

I wanted to add in.

That my relative, on his 2006 yamaha blaster, that his son races.

If some of you recall. I have mentioned he was running a 220 jet.

So today, when I stopped over to ask how the racing went in minnesota saturday.

His son got 3rd with the blaster.

He runs moose performance carb kit, and that kit, recommend the dx220 jet when using performance pipe / silencer.

So thats where the 220 came from,

I wanted to mention this, as a follow up, from when I have mentioned this the other day in some posts.

Where the fmf kit says a 260 jet and other's mention even bigger.

I am not sure what the differance is from the fmf carb / jet kit, compared to the moose one.

Does ur bike have the underseat air box with the lid on or off an are whales drilled in it.

Also premix or are u running the injection...
Good things to know to help with ur jetting.

An finally I would recommend taken the exhaust pipe off an checking for cylinder wear. If it was running like that it could have caused damage.

An since ur new has the bike been leak tested.

i got a 2000 blaster, EVERYTHING is stock, if i get a FMF fatty and powercore 2, what would my jets haveto be to get FULL performance out of it?

leave the pilot jet and needle alone, start with a 290/300 main jet and plug chop it to confirm...lean/correct/rich
go up or down accrording to what the plug color tells you, (prolly down near 270/280)

plug chops, the only way to know for sure.......
