Yo, I got the same rattle goin on as you do. I may not be as knowledgable as most ya guys on here, but i hope this helps.
I would definately check out the piston and make sure your top end looks alright. I had (have) that same rattle in my expansion chamber and like Yamahaman126 said, it is more than likely just part of a baffle. I removed the pipe and tried to see/get whatever was in there out.. Being unsuccessful I put it back on and thought nothing of it.
This could be the very reason the quad is parked for winter and my piston looks liek this..
My theory is it eventually heated up and broke off enough small chunks that it hosed my top-end.
Easily a $500+ repair that could have been avoided.
