Hi there,

I'd appreciate some advice regarding TORS removal from a 2003 Blaster.

If you can have a look at that and tell me if it is actually the tors system or can you suggest anything else before I start cutting wires!

If it is the tors, I was wondering which side is the ECU side, I got it for the under the hood wire but for the other one under the seat I'm not sure.

If anyone can help I'd be very grateful!

Parking brake.

On the clutch hand side, theres all the parking break stuff. Unplug the parking brake switch and go under the hood and unplug it there, then retry.

Quite a few people have had this problem, and it turned out to be the parking brake. I found out the hard way when changing pads, i figured i didnt need it, guess i did lol. I had to bring it to a shop and they found it pretty fast and hooked it up.

Here are the step by step instructions for the TORS removal for 03 - 06. Yours does seem to have a TORS problem as you can't give it any throttle, but with all that white smoke I would leak test it for a clutch side crank seal as well.

Hiya Bummer, thanks for the response, I've read those instructions thanks, just need to know when the guy says make sure to cut the tors wires on the eci side and not the carb side I was trying to figure out which side that is. Sorry probably very simple but as I said complete newbie!

The wires to cut:

Follow the wires from the throttle body (where the thumb thing it) cut and splice them

Follow the wires out of the back of the TORs and cut/splice them

Okay I cut & spliced the tors wires, do I need to disconnect it on the handlebars in the box on the right where the throttle is? It's still revving the same as in the video!

Also if disconnecting the parking brake, how do I do this?

Thanks again for all your help!

Yes you need to cut and splice the wires coming from the throttle body.

I already mentioned how to remove the parking brake switch
