Cool... Ive never cracked one open before. Im guessing its just a electrical solenoid that drops the throttle cable when the cdi box says your reveing too high?

from what I've been reading about it pretty much yea...I think....

No solenoid....no rev limiter...Just a micro switch that gives feedback to the cid box. If the thumb throttle micro switch,and the the micro switch in the tors box on the top of the carb aren't in "sync",it kills the spark.

it's the other way round

it cut's off the cdi when the cable is stuck

If the throttle misbehaves and gets stuck WOT the electrics get shut off.

Biggest POS ever X(. Mine malfunctioned in a ligt rain. Had to dry throttle out several times before I made it back. It does not kill the spark, but retards it so much that it won't make enough power to move, at least that's how mine acted. You would think with gaskets it wouldn't get so funky in there. Even though mine was kind of clean insude, my cable still rusted and broke right at the ball end. Now complete system is comepletely gone I:I
