Ok, a lot of threads asking what tires should i buy?
Some of the replies were confusing- so i hope this helps somebody.

For track riding (MX) the common tire size for the rearis an 18x10x9 or an 18x10x8 (8" rim). A common front is usually a 19x6x10 or a 20x6x10. These tires are usually light, and 2 ply, which means they are not good for anything but a track, and some with soft compound wear very fast, but hook up very good. These are for pro racers who get new tires every race. These tires will also puncture easily.

Common tires:

-ITP holeshot mxr6
-Maxxis razr mx
-ITP quadcross
-maxxis razr cross
-etc...
$60-145
est $300 set

For trail riding (XC, harescramble, etc...)you need a bigger tire, for ground clearance mainly. A common rear size is a 20x10x9 or a 20x11x9 (or 8 for an 8" rim..) , theres even 21's, 22's, and who knows. A common front size is 21x7x10, or 22x7x10. A heavier- 4 or 6 ply tire is the thing to get- puncture resistant, deeper tred, etc...

Common tires:

-Maxxis razr (1's or 2's)
-ITP GNCC holeshot
-Kenda claws
-GBC x-rex

Prices:
$60-120 ea
est $300 set

General backyard riding- mild all terrain
-something like a stock style 2-ply-4-ply tire ought to work
-They seem to last pretty long for what they are- not a whole lot to explain here.
-common size are a 20x10x9 (or) 8 rear and a 21x7x10 front.

common tire:
Dunlop KT335H

Prices:
$45-80 ea
est $200 set

-the beefier the tred, the better traction you'll get- but ,for example, if you like sliding around don't go with something like a 20x11x9 razr 2, go with something like a 20x10x9 razr 1.

As a general rule your front tires are 1" taller than the back. (example: 18x10x8's on the back, 19x6x10's on the front.)

All this is based on memory- hope this helps a few people
