well i got power to my coil its getting around 7 volts but i got nothing going to my spark plug boot? i did the ohm check and the coil is in spec any ideas as to what my problem is

check all the connections to the spark plug.... there is a small spring in the boot that connects to the wire inside the housing. maybe the wire and spring isent touching?
i dont have a spring in my boot could that be the problem also the plate where the spark plug touches looks alittle rusty
well its like a little metal peice. try taking the spark plug out, connect it to the wire, hold it to the engine buy the boot(so u dont get shocked) and kick the engine a few times. and make sure the kill switch and key are both on. if it sparks, than it might be that the carb is dirty.
1. Ohm the cap by its self.
2. Trim 1/4" off wire, use dielectric grease when installing cap.
3. Make sure coil has bare clean metal where it grounds to frame. Little dielectric again.
