Have to bore my cylinder do i need new jets?

I just came back from Pismo quad was running great all weekend until I went out for one of my last rides and my quad stopped running. I got back home and my piston ring was melted to the piston.

I am boring out to the next size that I absolutely have to. My only question is that if I bore out and get a new wiseco piston will I have to rejet? I have a Toomey pipe with open airbox.

What jets are you running now?

All depends on your jetting now. You could have been running lean for a while now, and the piston/Rings finally had enough. Or you could have had an air leak develop.

Either way, with a new top end you'll have a chance to do a leak test.

Also, did you take your cylender/Head to a shop for inspection? Depending on severity you might be able to get away with a hone instead of bore.
