Good Deal on a Classic Gator??

I know nothing runs like a deere.... and one caught my eye on the kijiji ( think craigslist for canadians)... the ad doesnt have pictures but ive emailed for some... the lady says it runs fine, but needs comestic work... its a ATM 600 John Deere.... as said $700... i offered $500 and she is game.... i asked for some pictures of it before i drive to get it...... is this trouble waiting to happen... or can you still get parts for old deere stuff... ive seen lots of restored tractors.. and deere is normally quality i thought...

no these things are real workhorses, and they do still make some parts but not sure what they make

I've wanted one of those since I was a wee child. I am amazed at the price they still bring after 20 years.

Got some pics of it. It's pretty rough but Looks like any other 25 year old piece of farm equipment. If I decide to go pick it up I will post some good pics
