front shocks

I was out working on my girlfriends quad (94) and doing a little bit on mine (00) and i noticed our front shocks look different (besides the color) on the 94 there are 12 coils and on the 00 there are 8. the 94's front end is also a lot stiffer than the 00, and its set on the softest setting. Could could the 94 have banshee shocks?

hmm good observation, i have an 01 and mine look like yours (the 2000) i just bought a set of banshee shocks but didnt get them yet, im sure some of the shee members can chime in though

Measure them for the time being just to see.

measure the spring length. the shocks from a shee are the same but the spring is longer. it doesnt look like a shee shock tho cuz the adjustable end still looks fairly long.

the 94's are about a half inch short
94 13 and 1/2 inches
00 14inches
i measured from the bottom bottom of the bottom shock bolt to the bottom of the top shock mount

Justed checked a picture of the front shocks on my 96 and and they have 13 coils, and they are stock.

i have shee shocks let me go out and count the coils on them

my banshee shocks have 15 coils and the top 6 are more tightly wound.
