First blaster build

220 will be smooth enough, just want to knock off any tiny chunks that might come loose. Damage appears to be from either the crank spreading or piston/thrust washer/bearing fragments. Bearing bores are fine !!

Alright sweet thank you! I think it was from the crank speading bc all the bearings and piston were fully intact on that motor when i got it,just the crank bearings on one side seized up nd toastes the crank, piston cracked in a few spots but stayed intact luckily

Yeah there's no reason to make the cases half smooth, actually a little texture is good . do both case halves with a lil texture and follow it until you get to the surface/where gasket sits. You can rough up right to the gasket surface and knock down any chunks/snots.

Also tore it back down to bare frame,my buddys a fabricator and got ahold of him yesterday and while he was at work he cut up some gussets,so going to his place saturday to put them on,figured im racing it so better do it instead of looking for a frame and having to tear it back down anyways lol

Those cases look nice and clean, but that looks like a nasty crack in the left side crank area. Am I wrong?

You sir are wrong:p optical illusion, some type of stain or something,i thought the same thing but its smooth as can be and even took it to the yamaha dealer and he said it wasnt a crack

Hey is that the carrier bearing spacer on that chair also looking good so far

Thats from my old carrier, thing was trashed, bearing races welded themselves to the houses, tried cutting them out and torching them out, then said screw it and ordered another for like 30$ off ebay lol
