after some engine over heating, misfiring and high rev, I decided to take a few things apart.

I took off the exhaust from the engine and found this damaged ring

Is this part of the gasket?

What is this ring, whats it do and where can i get a replacement?

Thanks I:I

What have you been feeding Blaster to make it spew things like that.:D

It looks like a donut gasket mangled by a loose pipe rattling around.

Overheating could have been caused by the pipe leaking, disturbing the running properties, causing the motor to run with a lean mix.

While the pipe is off, have a look up the exhaust port to see if the rings, and piston have not suffered from overheating from detonation.

By the way it is impossible to get the exhaust off of the intake manifold, unless someone has done some serious mods to get it to fit!

Im pretty sure you are right from the research i did on it. There was a oily leak coming from where the exhaust connects to the engine and it was a little loose. After I took the exhaust off this metal ring with little pieces of rubber was mangled.

Im pretty sure this is whats causing the engine to run hot and rev high, maybe too much oxygen getting in.

Where can I get a replacement?
