Damn it, I am confused!

Hey everybody, I just rebuilt my blasty. I had my jug ported and my head shaved and I threw a pro lite into it aswell. I drove it around for the break in, doing the typical heat up and cool down cycles. Then i jumped on it, went to pull away and it was like it was hitting a rev limiter like in a car, but before powerband. So it's not like i was revving the ball's out of her. I checked the plug and it looks mint. I just don't know what to think! The local grass drags are coming up soon and i would love to get her rocking mint! Can anyone throw me some advice or a place to start? This one has me trippin!

If the plug looks "mint" as in nice and white, you're lean. Richen your jetting, read the stickies on carb tuning/jetting, and don't ride it anymore until you richen the jetting.

lol, yeah no. The plug isn't white. Eveything seem's fine, i just don't understand it! Could it be something electrical?

was it right after you fired it up and took off?
mine does that for about a 1/2 mile until it will go past the powerband.
but once it warms up its fine. but i am a little rich

It might be the clutch, it is a 1995 and i don't know if they have been replaced. But it worked fine, I shut her off, had a smoke fired it up and it's doing this trippy thing now.

freeks right...sounds like your clutch is sliping...mine is starting to do that on my shee' cuz of all the work i have on it...
