cylinder sleeve?

got a cylinder from a guy who told me it had never been bored so i went ahead and ordered a .020 piston for it because he said it would need it. got piston today and took it to local bike shop only to find out the cylinder is at 68.20 something so now i got a piston thats to small a cylinder thats maxed out and don't know wat to doX(. wat is a sleeve for a cylinder should i get that and o if anyone want a namura piston brand new never used pm me thanks in advance

There is a steel sleeve inside the aluminum cylinder. That can be swapped out to a new one. Sometimes its cheaper to find another stock cylinder that has more life left in it.
I have a cylinder here that is at 68mm and needs a new sleeve, but I am planning on having a bb 240 sleeve installed for practically the same price.

Very true. I haven't ever heard anything bad about Ken. Not to mention how many people talk about how great his customer service is.

Cylinders are still out there. Much less than the cost of a sleeve install.

i got a cylinder thats on its 6th bore that needs to go to the 7th for 75obo thats still one more life left.

only incident i know of is someone once blamed namura for prem failure, but most likely poor install IMO

that could easily be the problem right there, either not getting the circlips in correct or not having rings between locating pins

my 06 blaster had a Namura piston it and it was fine, 160psi of comp too after 25hrs on it.
