Clutch Isn't Working?

ever since my clutch cable brike up by the handle, pulling the clutch doesn't put it in neutral. I pull the clutch when it's in gear, and it stays in gear. What could cause this?

have you tried adjusting it?

ok i think you mean when you pull the clutch lever, it doesn't engage the clutch.
after it broke, did you replace the cable?
if so, did you adjust the cable to get out all slack and leave about 1/8" of play in the lever?

well i havent put the new cable on yet. i found this out by pulling the cable with pliers. but its still connected at the bottom so i should think that pulling the cable is the same as when its connected to the clutch lever

get a new f*cking cable then come back.

when you get it, try it then, make sure you have it adjusted right too.

ok just trying to see if i messed anything else up when it broke. i dont mind buying parts but i HATE waiting for shipping. is it bad to ride it now without the clutch? i know i can drive a car without a clutch as long as the rpms are right when you shift

lol only hard part is going into gear, after that it isn't that bad

ya i rode it a little bit. i just rev it up and drop into first. i would think thats the same as dumping the clutch. the front tires just pop up a little bit.

doing that will definately break something! quit while ur ahead and wait for the cable
