cleaning jug

hey everybody i picked up a kx 80 for 50 bucks! came with 2 of everything pretty much. one motor is good and has an aftermarket crank and a newer piston in it. the other one has some issues he thought the crank was shot but i think if i put some new wrist pin bearings on the rod it should be fine. any how the jugs need some cleaning i was wondering what i should use?

I know many good way to clean jugs and get them dirty but don't think any would apply here

are you talking about the outside of the jug? maybe a wire brush would do good with some simple green

no the inside and where the reeds go in just the whole thing
would some carb cleaner work

yes use carb cleaner then be sure and put some 2stroke oil on the inside so it doesnt rust

to tell the truth. stripping the paint off of the jug with aviation paintstripper(can be found in napa comes in an arosol can) and repaint it is the easiest way to clean it up. hi temp paint. leave that stripper on the juggs for at least an hourI:I
