I have a 1997 blaster an it ran great but I took apart the carb to clean it an wen I. Put it back together the throttle needle got stuck an I think I scratched the slide or bent the needle trying to get it unstuck would a damaged slide or bent needle make the throttle response bad cus now I can crank on the throttle but it takes a while to get up to speed

Should be a sticky in engine, carb, general support, or DIY section on carbs. Also there is a download manual if you don't have a Clymers. Is there gas running out of carb? Very important to have float height correct and be sure float needle valve is attached to float. Unless you are King Kong you won't damage carb on simple assembly.
