Bore question

Im almost positive that my vito's 240 cylinder is going to need bored to the next size. my question is what is the next size? and if it is bored to the next size and honed does any work need done to the head? thanks in advance for any help. I plan on sending it to ken o conner

It depends on what bore its on now. If your going to send it to Ken, he will be able to answer all your quastions.

if it needs bored if depends on how much meat they have to take off in order to be able to tell what size bore you need. best to send it to a builder.. but if you dont have the dough take the head off and measure the cylinder with a caliper and check the walls for deep grooves. what makes you think it needs bored? if there is still decent compression and no grooves in the cylinder or marks on the piston maybe it just needs a new set of rings and a hone

According to my measurements the piston to cylinder clearance is too much. im going to get it professionally measured and then make my decision i guess. there is one spot with some pretty deep grooves.
