Hi All,

I suspect this is an easy question for you. I have a used oem cylinder that is 66.67mm bore. My understanding is stock bore is 66mm. Should I use a stock piston on this cylinder?

Overall I think I need some education on how to determine correct piston size based off cylinder bore.

Thanks in advance.

66.67 is a worn out hole !!
Putting a new piston in there is a waste of time and money and may cost you the whole engine !!

DO NOT cheap out and buy a Chi-NA cylinder kit off of Amazon/Egay

Take your cylinder to a automotive machine shop and have it measured and inspected. They will tell you what size you need. YOU buy the correct size. THEN they bore/hone to fit THAT piston. They all vary slightly and cast or forged pistons require different clearances.

For the money a forged piston is the best way to go. Buy once, cry once and ride forever (almost)
