im not sure if this should be here or under body, but...
this week i have been tearing down and rebuilding my balster like crazy and i got to the rear fenders, did the renew plstics and that whole deal(worked great by the way) and i was putting the 'airfilter to carb' tube back on the air box and noticed that when i tightened the nuts, the metal outter gasket thing would make like an arc. would this make an airleak? i was thinking about drilling a whole betweeen each nut and puting a screw and locknut to get rid of the arc. but would it be pointless? heres some pics. the yellow is the arc im tlaking about.
thanks for the help in advance.

Not going to cause an air leak. It actually should be fine. The only think I might be worried about is dust leaking in where it is bowed up. Maybe find a way to flaten the spots.

okay thanks. thats what i was worried about. i didnt want the dust in there, maybe i will put those extra screws and nuts in there. and seal it up too with some grease or airfilter oil. thanks again.
