im just wondering if my stator would keep a charge on a ATV battery instead of running a light? that way i can run the 55watt baulbs?

You will have to install a rectifier to convert to 12v dc for the battery and run a 12 volt bulb. Much better lighting as it will be just as bright at any rpm. There is a pretty good write up on how to do it on Welcome to WyoDuner's Dune Pages the writeup is on a banshee but it will be generally the same for a blaster.
search the DIY section, i beleve your best bet it to get ahigher wattage stator and have them float the ground, put a small battery in the 'battery box' under the seat, and run wiring for it, phragle ran hid lights on his blaster.. i think it was titled something fire power
You did what? did you hook the stator to a battery instead of a light or did you do what they are telling me?
I was told that after you rewind the thing you have to bake it. but that was from a guy that rebuilds alts. for cars/trucks. and im stupid.... what is floating a ground? i prob know but in different words. lol
the lighting coil... one end of the winding goes up the wiring harness, the other end ground to the stator plate. floating the ground means disconecting the wire that grounds to the plate and extending it up the harness, the both wires connect to the rectifier.
yeah like weld a gear on the end of the kicker shaft and mount a starter bam electric start blaster
If you dont need to bake the stator after you rewind it... then i could prob do it myself right? if so does anyone have a DIY for it? Cause i wanna do it.
it's an artform., you must meet same resistance levels while using heavier wire and more wraps. you have seen what I can do...and I pay to have stators done.
