I installed my 400 EX shock about 2 months ago but haven't had the chance to ride. We went riding on Saturday and I actually forgot I had put the 400 EX shock on b/c it was riding so rough.

Please give me some quick advice on which adjustments to tweak. I turned a couple of them but I'd rather ask ppl who have done it already and know what they're talking about. (I weigh 200 lbs.)

Thanks!

I would set the preload spring all the way up as close to where the threads run out then set the compression to as soft as you can ,then set the rebound to the middle setting and go from thereI:I

bottom adjustment is rebound (how fast the shock comes back up) hard makes it come up faster...

top is the compression....

i have my comp all the way soft, and my rebound mid way..
