1998 Budget Build

As you can see its missing covers on both sides, Front plastics, needs taller handle bars, tires suck,Front sprocket missing teeth, back plastics all broke to hell...lol So its all stripped down to the frame now. Bought a racing fender and a front sproket so far the other day. Got a oil pump cover and bolts also and a set of Fly polished handlebars, that i will take a pic of later. Im slowly gonna work on the frame and gonna get it blasted in a few days.

I found a bend on the frame, gonna try to fix it...ill post pics when im done trying...lol Gotta try , I could use the extra $100 for a frame for somthing else. Ill post pics....anyways here is the paint im going with on the frame when its ready. I bought these other 2 cans , might use them dont know yet.

Got my swinger over at my dads still, gotta get that done with some pics. Post some soon....Work 6 days a week..not much time play with this thing..
Next things to get in the future...: Back fender, Tires, Got my eye on a front bumper but ebay sucks..lol, Grab bar.....I might be able to get it done to ride it i the SNOW...lol This summer is out of the question....for sure.....I did get to ride it for a few days after I got it and put it all together. It had 1st, 2nd and 6th...it was pretty sweet...lol I knew playing with it like that was just postponing me getting it fixed right so .....its all apart now
hey man if u want ur front end wider i have a set of durablue wheel spacers for the front for not bad of a price thatll be cheaper then a-arms for right now
the paint he is using needs to be used on bare metal to get its anodized coloration thats why he has no primer
Hope not, but it does say if you want to use primer you can but it will make a darker blue that wont look transparent.....so im debating which way to go...lol I want it to last longer than it just looking cool for a few months....you know what I mean
Got a few new things in the mail, wife surprised me and got me some stuff on her own...lol Bolt and Nut Kit for a Blaster, all black vinyl seat cover, I dont know about all black but....I thought that was very cool...she wants to be involved....how sweet...lol. I got my stater cover in and the crack was bigger than I thought...so it has some epoxy on it right now and gonna sand it and use some krylon infusion on it. Got my swinger bolt also ...lol The guy I got the bike from had a piece of ready thread cut to fit in the box I got the blaster in that he was gonna use ...I thought I was cheap...lol...I:I OH and dont worry I only paid $2 for the stator cover.....lol

I will post some progress reports after this weekend, frame and swinger of course...gotta go to the parents farm for welding and blasting and for the 4th so i can burn my hands for the kids again...lol Gonna go +4 on the swinger not +6, like I wanted before, I can get a +4 break cable for $8 so +4 it is...lol This thread isnt called budget, just cause im keeping track and writing it all down...lol
Well, today didnt go so well...It rained like hell here. Sand blasting in the rain is not cool...lol I got my swinger all done though, it is strong ...its a little ruff...well maybe maybe not.. Frame is still being worked on by my pops, I understand now...lol it can not be straightened...I agree...now..lol But it can be cut and extended and straightened that way...lol Im going +2 right behind the A arms to cut the kink out and put a piece back....its gonna work....lol I did get the frame blasted also and hit it with some flat black rustoleum for right now....about 15 min after blasting the first time the frams went orange....it started to rust in 15 min...WOW.... So what do you guys think ...swinger look worthy.....

That's a 6 inch solid stock...it made a +4 swinger , I shaved it on each end back an inch so it fit inside and was 4 inches total showing....It takes a little bit to shave somthing that thick...lol
