i'm getting a 14 tooth front sprocket and getting a new 40 tooth rear but i don't know how many links in the chain. Anybody know?

Ya some have had luck with stock length, I have had to use a 94 link both times, I also use o-ring chain not sure if that matters!

I have an o-ring chain right now, I like it because I really get my junk dirty/muddy when I'm out.

I may go to a non-oring chain now though so that I can eliminate my 2nd master link without blowing a bunch on the chain.

ahh oring chains i think are overrated.I can replace mine 5x for the price of a good oring chain

And you will have to!
Using new sprockets every time?

Regular chain does use less power, but if you have an abundance of power you won't miss it.

For mud and sand and little maintenance, "O"ring is best.
Competition and willing to take it off to clean and oil it, high quality plain chain is better.
Cheapest and least work? Good quality "O"ring chain.

I am cheap! And I wouldn't spend the money if I didn't have to!
