I had the same problem, with my 02. If you take the clip from the wire harness by the tors on the carb cut it, splice the ends together, and plug it into tors brain if you want pics ill post over the weekend
Does any one know if the a arms from a stock banshee or yfz 450 fit the blaster? WHat about the swing arm? Just thinking b/c they are cheaper than an aftermarket.
Hey I had the same problem Im not a small guy 6'1'' and 215 i swaped out the rear shock for a heavy duty one. it is a night and day differnce. If you do stroke and bore I would love to know $$$ and performace when ur done.
On the front where you unpluged the cdi from the thumb throttle, cross the wires. I took the grey connection from the carb and soddered the end together and it plugs right into the connection from the cdi. My ran perfect. Had to turn down the mixture screw, untill the new idle screw comes on friday.

heres the thing i followed the diy section however there was one part missing. you need to cross the wires off of the thumb throttle. i took the clip off the carb (cut it off) crossed the wires and pluged into the part attached to the wire harness ( where i unpluged the wire from the thumb...
did u remove the tors? if not it is on top of the carb on the top of the block. otherwise you need to buy a kit i bought one from dennis kirk where u drill and tap it ur self
The TORS was all messed up when I pulled it off. I found that if you cross over the wires the that come from the throttle, and completely remove all the grabage in the top of the carb it works wonderfully. HIt runs a 110% better; however it is still not there on power. I dont know how many more...
Yesterday went through the bike with a fine tooth comb, checked the pistion, rings, jug, head, cleaned the carb, put an oil block off kit, new gaskets all around, and removed the TORS. Let you know the results today when I finish.
That sounds like a perfect idea, how ever how would one go about hooking it to the stator. Here is a 7'' electric fan that might work
