well that is good new because that and the oil draining out were the only two things that changed when the hanging idle started.

would that cause a hanging idle. What else would that do besides suck oil into the cylinder.

It didn't leak there but i took that plate off to drain some of the fluid and to investigate it and reinstalled it. It didn't have a gasket and i didn't have one so i didn't put one on. Could that be causing the air leak

Could it be an improper block off plate installation? because like i said it started right when i drained all the fluid and i took off that plate could that be the air leak?

alright i hope its the cable but i think its a seal as well because the leak would have caused the oil to pump out of the tranny. What seal do you think it could be

so if there isn't a leak and it isn't the cable what else could it be

yeah i didn't find any zip ties but it is clustered in with a bunch of cables down the steering column hole. I will try to free it up tomorrow

If there isn't a leak what else could be the cause of the hanging idle.

Yeah i blipped the throttle and it hung up then settled back down it was still idling like normal but it would just hang after i would blip it.

what is the importance of not starting it?

doesn't smell any differnent or seem to smoke anymore but the idle just hangs there when you rev it up.

It doesn't seem to be maybe a tad more but nothing really noticeable.

I will rig up a leak tester but it the hanging idle happened after i drained all the nasty oil out then put the good stuff in. That is when it started happening.

where could the air leak be and i am replacing all the cables asap.and could it be a dirty carb or old reed valves

Great news...I drained all the fluid out and i replaced it with atf type f to the right level. I ran it for about 20 mins and there is no more leak. The only thing that i have to fix now is a hanging idle if anyone has ideas about that.
