FWIW, you can get the puller off eBay for less than $10.00/shipped depending on where you are located(if you are in the continental US). I got mine in less than 4 days from the day I purchased it. HTH

I re-peened the 3 studs on the counter balance gear and put the bike back together and it is fine now. I am glad I didn't split the cases now :)
