Hey guys! I just bought my wife a 98 blaster and her first ride out in glamis it started to blow a good amount of white smoke! Shortly after, the blaster stalled out and wont turn over. I can push the kick start down by hand and it feels like its grinding. checked that it was still getting spark and fuel which it was. Also did the finger test for compression which seemed to be ok but I will put a compression tester on it tomorrow. What do you think it could be? I'm new to 2 strokes and am mechanically inclined. Just need a point in the right direction. Thanks in advanced!!

Crack seal gone bad/leak and dumping trans oil into crank then into cylinder then exhaust. Crank seal on the rear brake pedal side.

1st thing do is download service manual: http://www.blasterforum.com/threads...ervice-and-owner-manuals-free-download.17325/

Read about leak testing: http://www.blasterforum.com/threads...ervice-and-owner-manuals-free-download.17325/

Buy a leak tester: http://www.blasterforum.com/threads/leakdown-testers.55015/

you may also need to clean out the header pipe if it has oil in it and repack the muffler if it is soaked in oil.

Pulled the top end apart had no oil in manifold piston had a lot of carbon buildup and some blow by. Also noticed some blueing where shaft meets top deal center!

Gear oil also has strong fuel smell to it. Not sure if that's normal. The oil injection system was disconnected and was pre mixing 12.3 oz to 5 gal of fuel in tank like the previous owner was.

No good right there . Need to mix at 32/1 . 4oz. oil per gallon gas .

Nice bike though looks clean...definitely worth a rebuild
