What can I do to get better tork to pull wheelies better? Im already bored 60 over. Would a bigger front sprocket help? also what about a rad valve? Would a aftermarket exhaust help a lot or a little?

Also what can I do to get some more top end. Seems like I need another gear.

Well, what size tires do you have? What is your current sprocket setup?

Boring doesn't do anything power wise. There is such a little gain that its basically unnoticeable.

Get an exhaust; FMF are great for stockish engines. You'll notice a power gain there. I bet upgrading your exhaust will help a lot.

Reeds: Get a set of Boyesens. Power, Pro Series, SuperStock, any of them really will make a difference.

Smaller front sprocket and tyres.

Aftermarket pipe, would help a lot, sit toward the back of the bike.

Avoid wheel spin, throw your weight backwards.

A larger front sprocket will increase your top speed only if the motor has the guts to pull the extra power needed.

i could do some WILD wheelies on my dtblaster which was a stock chassis. i had 14/40 sprockets with 22' diameter tires. only way to pull good long wheelies was to stand up squeeze thighs to the seat get the bike up in 5th or 6th at 70kpm crack it WOT and pull hard. i should of got videos of it i could go as far as buddies with motocross bikes and big quads.

to help setup the bike for better wheelies i would saggest a fmf pipe and head mod. porting may not be a good idea cuz it tends to make the power at higher rpm and you need broud torque for pulling up. most of the time longer gears helps more to spread the torque curve more.

My vote is that you learn to ride and how to clutch.

There should be no reason why a bone stock blaster csnt wheelie all day every day.

Even if you had a 4 stroke you still would have to know how to use the clutch properly.

I say you go out and find a field with no rocks sticks broken glass and so on and practice practice practice.Id suggest a helmet because i assure you will be bucked off atleast a few times.

true disss.
feild with tall grass for cusion, if you dont get bucked off atleast once your not trying hard enoughI:I

Sure I can pop the clutch and get it up all day. I want to be able to just hit the gas and get it up.

As for size of tires Im not sure. I do need new reeds as currently stock. I have a Fatty pipe and power core exhaust Just haven't put it on yet.

Im in the proses of building a new motor. I plane to put my FMF on that motor and also I just picked up a Boysen Rad valve with carbon fiber Reeds so hopefully that will help as well

I agree with Budget_Baster, my pink blaster, 20" rears, 14/40 gearing would easy list in 1st, 2nd and would still lift in 3rd, and this is without touching the clutch.. It's not what you have... It's how you use it!

yea i think your just not trying hard enough or something is wrong with your blaster . i can walk mine in third with no clutch . im running 14/40 .. stock is 13/40 . so if you have stock gears it should be easier . try standing wheelies little easier to get at first easier to balance too . and if you go too far back just kick it back down

Works every time!:DI:I

lol i think most of these guys "wheelies" are these i meter long "pop" the tires up and slam them back down sort of things. lots of good advise here for that. "popping wheelies"

i consider the word "wheelie" as raising the front tires and holding them up as long as possible. almost anything could "pop a wheelie" hell ollieing a blaster would be more impressive.

why i say this is even a stock blaster can "pop a wheelie" no problem. he asked how to get better wheelies out of the bike.
shorter gears?? wont help, yes it will want the front to come up easier (aswell as tire spin) but at the same time as soon as its up the gears are too short and the bike revs out hurting your pride and bike. Longer gears is what you want, i know what most are thinking longer gears will kill power and torque and make it harder. This isnt true, i did a small jump to a 14 tooth sprocket on my blaster when it was stock and it would pull every gear it would with the 13 it just extends the tourque/power curve longer so that when you pop the bike up and get it in balance point you have more rpm to help ride it out.

theres many other ways to help setup a bike for better catwalks. ive seen many youtube videos of blastys wheeling and i havnt been much impressed. most of the good ones are using rear brakes to help which takes skill (this is good). i havent quite seen anyone do them like i doo. 70-80kph stand up haul on the bars get the bike up in balance point and hold throttle at that point. If done perfectly you can go forever and not have to stop, the highspeed is bittersweet it helps smooth out the transition abit aswell as makes it much more dangerious

The first 4 wheeler i ever wheelied was a blaster the one i have now i did it the same way i wheeiled anything my pit bikes an dirt bikes its bones stock pull wheelies all across huge field by my house. AN ass for the you will get bucked off the first time i wheelied the blaster i whent all the way back broke my grab bar off an smacked my head off the ground lol but i learned it
