How do i determine the carrier would support new bearings?

I don't feel like prying into lost threads looking for info. But my carrier was howling pretty bad and there is play in the axle and I figured the bearings are toast. But can I replace the bearings or is my races most likely ruined? I haven't got it apart yet but just wondering if anyone has...

Is there anything to do when your blaster feels to small underneath you. I'm 6'1 230 handle bars are already raised its the width and length that bothers me. Feels like I'm on a pw 50.
