I've done 3 engines this way. Other than getting the crank trued. I use 1 7/8 trailer ball hitch to heat up and transfer the heat. The skirt on the ball hitch works great. The threads are smaller than the bearing and slide through.

The blaster sizes are (66 being stock) 66.25, 66.5, 66.75, 67, up to 68. Have the shop measure it first and then pick the next size up. Then take the piston and jug back to the shop to get it bored. 55$ seams to be the rate for bore and hone.

I agree. I am having issues getting the inner race of the last crank bearing any hotter than 110 degrees. Thats about all the heat transfer i can muster. I do not have a puller. Ken's methods have proven great through the bearing seating and stator side crank seating.

Weisco pistons in both my Blasters. One on 3rd Season and running strong. One in daughters on 1st season and holding strong. They get out once or twice a month for day long quad park trips.
