If you don't have an air leak or any major problems like that then start your jetting where it originally was and then JET DOWN. When you get new or better reeds a common mistake is to jet up. But you need to jet down.

I have to agree. Retail price for those is significantly less than a nice set of arms BUT - still not a handful of change. Not worth the money. Especially to have 4 extra stress points on your front suspension. Spend the cash and buy arms. That way you'll have matching tie rods too.

l.t., 245, and the rest of the guys are right. We're all assuming you mean top speed and not stop and go grunt speed i.e. off the line. like another guy said - it's gonna take you a while to get there - especially since taller gearing doesn't help you off the line. Is that worth it to you...

Yeah it is. That's my favorite place in the midwest to ride. Hopefully I'll get out to the big dunes someday.
