How To Remove Your TORS (88-02 models)

Mine started messing up, it would idle and when I hit the gas it would miss and want to shut off. All I did was unplug the brain and it works fine now.
I dont have the throttle box. It was already removed to make room for the twist throttle assembly.
Should I just follow through and skip that 4th step? Or find where the wire comes off and unplug it still?

im wondering something. i was riding in the woods and all of a sudden. the blasty just dies. i was stuck in there for like 30 min. kicking the sh*t out of it. i turned the fuel off and within 15kicks she started. then when i started her up and she ran for a lil i turned the fuel back on and later she died again. is this tors malfunction??
Sounds like the same problem i just had. Was riding bike shut off ( i didnt turn the gas off) but i let sit for 30 mins maybe an hour and she fired up but wont let me give it any gas. My bike is an 04 and im having a little trouble with the tors casue its in a different spot .
You can check in the ENGINE section of the fourm i posted, and someone told me how they thought I could do it on my 04 . HGeres the link its the last reply.

What I linked over, did not work i couldnt get my bike started wwith it unplugged. I plugged it all back in , and it fired up . It will run but you cant give gas.... Might have to give in and take to shop.
hasnt anyone tried to just swap a harness from an earlier model blaster like an 98-2002 then you wouldnt have any of these problems, just follow whats in the diy.
just wondering because it looks easy enough to do and i havent seen anyone mention it, plus ther are harneses for sale all over the internet for cheap.

yeah u should try it next time. but i only turned the fuel off cuz it smelled like fuel. and it was dark and i couldnt see anything.
Hey, my Idle screw broke off my tors, then all of a sudden my bike opened full throttle all by itself...any ideas? It happened while i was trying to turn down the idle....
Glad to help. I will be doing quite a few youtube vid how-to's in the near future. Have a blaster that needs to bottom end rebuilt and a banshee that needs a top end rebuild.
Ill do a basic trouble shooting video too. Which is why im hoping we can get the embedding videos thing going.

the cable i marked with red circle, is that for the TORS? because i taked that cable up and it wasnt attached to anything at all, so i wondered if it has been removed from the prev owner? well the blaster stayd at a racing track before, and was well handled with stuff.
Reason i didnt just check longer down was, that pic is old, i didnt know this that time and my atv doesnt stand here at home
