what gearing

im running 18 in turf tamers with stock gearing. it feels like im only doing around 40. i just ordered a 15 tooth front. what should i be doing for speed. is it too much gear or will it be good

15 might be ok.....but 14/40 is most common

Yes, you need the cases shaved though.

how could i get the case shaved.

could i just use a file and go little by little untill it will fit. would it be ok to take material out of that area or would it get to weak
