What do you mean by experience? Giz installed his amp and subs in his truck, and his friends radio,amp,subs... He might be able to help if you state your problem
Don't have a problem just looking for amp advice. I'm looking for a Mono Amp for a 4 Ohm 500 watt, 12 inch.
if u run under a 1000watt the sub wont be clear i find i like to run higher brand subs like ken woods jbl and jl they last allot longer then my friends wallmart subs
It's a Walmart sub, and I'm building the box, not a lot. Cheap but good quality if that makes sense.
As a rule, I like a sub amp to have 150% RMS output of the sub. You said you sub was 175 watt RMS, so look for a mono amp at 250-300 watts RMS, BOSS Audio R1100M RIOT Series 1100W Mosfet Power Monoblock Amplifier- Walmart.com that should be enough to move the sub in a sealed box. WHat king of wood do you plan to use for your box?
Get 3/4" and use both glue and screws. I've always thought it was better to drill a pilot hole in MDF, though most don't bother. 12's normally need about 1 cubic foot of volume in a sealed box. You won't get as much volume from a sealed box but the lower end speakers definitely benefit from the support a sealed box offers. Of course, these are just my opinions.
Thanks for the advice, in the sub Manual it has dimensions for .75,1.00 and 1.50 cubic feet of volume.
I was just wondering if anyone had any amp recommendations/ what kinda wording kit will I need?
LOL I meant wiring but 12 inch 4ohm 500watt the RMS is above.

i would wait till you get a car before you use it. dont use it in your house. its a lot of work and money. ur better off saving that money for a better sub and amp.
