quick question

i just have a quick question. can the carb cap cause an air leak?

yes sir it can, the threads at the top of my carb were stripped and it had a bad air leak there

sweet . . . when i start my quad and hit the gas a little it revs real high and wont return to idle so i have to shut it off. i cant find any leaks in the motor. do you think this could be my problem?
